mornings go best with the sunrise
E
the sunrise i used to see
Bm G A
i'll never see now and if i was waiting we'd build it all up
G E
we'd look all around till we found we found
Bm
the people found the mountain
E
climbed up from that hole in the ground
Bm
through that crack in the sky threatened to fall
E
still, i don't believe, i don't believe
G E
we'll be just fine
Bm G
we'll be just fine
G G G G
Bm G
the future was born with the sunrise
E
the sunrise spilled into days
Bm G A
and even more years passed he rode further burning up trails
G E
we looked all around till we found we found
Bm
the people found the mountain
E
climbed up from that hole in the ground
Bm
through that crack in the sky threatened to fall
E
still, i don't believe, i don't believe
G E
we'll be just fine
Bm G
we'll be just fine

Thanks! This is great! Except for maybe a few minor things I heard/noticed. In the second verse you have an Em which I think is just a typo for an E.
Then I think in this, the 4 should be a 5 making it another D note.
D|---------2h4p2----------
A|-----------------5-2-4---
E|--------------------------
And there might be another note in the outro somewhere, but I can't pick it out. I really like what you did though, thanks again!

I don't have a bass or guitar here with me, but I think I can kind of recall how it went...
The post-verse/pre-chorus thing is like
G---------------------------------------------
D--------5------------7-5-3--7-5-3--7-5-3--
A----------------------------------------------
E----5--------5-3-1--------------------------
The verse is something like:
G-------------------------------------------------------12h14------
D----------10h12--------10h12--------10h12---12h14------------
A----10h12--------10h12-------10h12----------------------------
E--------------------------------------------------------------------
the last time, you fill it out a little more and go back down the scale
the "fill me up with money gold" is like
something like
G-------------------------------------------
D-----------------------------5s7p5-------
A--0-3-5-7-5-3-0--0-3-5-7-------7-5---
E------------------------------------------
that's usually what I play along with the vocal scale to fill it out. you can work around with that.
Chorus goes something like:
"I'll be better when"
G-----------------------------
D-----------------------------
A-----------------------------
E---5-5---4-4---3-3---2-1--
after that part, it's another place to just fill it out
Suspend on A for a few beats.. like through "our salt was skin of maps made whole"
and then fill it out on "gotta get out, gotta save this soul"
something like
G------------------------------------------------------------
D------------------5h7----5h7----5h7----5h7p5-----------
A--0-0-0-0---5h7----5h7----5h7----5h7-------7p5-------
E------------------------------------------------------7p5---
That should be it. Hope it helps man.

Damn! Good work Derek... I think Zach would either be frightened or soooo proud.

Haha. I hope I was semi-accurate with it. I haven't messed with my bass in ages. Zach better be scared of how proud he is.

Offline
yeah i gotcha, he strums Em, then Dm for the intro, the chorus is Em, B, G, A, all barred
its 1000 years also ![]()
also, for pushers party, the intro is G, F slide to G, and the "sorry for the party" part is same as new orleans acoustic, Gm, F, Cm
